Construction Worker Injured on New York Bridge

(New York)  --   A construction worker fell from an exit ramp on New York's Throgs Neck Bridge on Monday, MyFoxNY.com reported.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene to help rescue the worker, who apparently suffered back injuries after falling onto scaffolding about 20 feet below the bridge, MyFoxNY.com reported.

Responders strapped the man to a board and raised him in a basket, MyFoxNY.com reported.

Traffic has been backed up as a result of the accident.

It is unclear what caused the fall.
