BedRock Software, LLC (BedRock) is pleased to announce the release of version 276 for its AggFlow aggregate plant simulation program. Version 276 represents more than 3 years of extensive programming and design work and incorporates the latest features, capabilities and equipment available in the world’s most widely used plant optimization software.
Version 276 allows program users to simulate aggregate plant operations more realistically than ever before. In addition to the modeling capabilities and blending calculations, the program helps track and report all aspects of plant operations including machine power usage, operating costs and emissions.
These improvements provide program users the ability to implement the forthcoming AggOPTI profitability module to calculate profitability scenarios and determine the most profitable operating schedule to meet specific product demand.
“Version 276 sets the stage for AggOPTI profitability modeling. Accurate profit modeling is the ultimate goal for aggregate producers and AggOPTI will provide it” said Bryan Lewis, President of BedRock Software, LLC and inventor of the AggFlow program. AggOPTI is scheduled for release in 2012.
AggFlow is used by aggregate producers, equipment manufacturers and dealers in more than 95 countries to simulate aggregate and mining operations. AggFlow users calculate both aggregate mass and water mass balances flowing through a plant simulation to optimize and maximize production of desired products. AggFlow simulations help improve profitability by identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks in plant operations; by accurately assessing the impact of proposed changes or new equipment installations before they are made; and by reducing plant down-time and production errors. The program is popular because it provides the ability to conduct unlimited “what-if?” scenarios, it is accurate and easy to use.
Users can select from the pre-populated equipment data library or install their own equipment models in the program using the generic equipment option. Currently, the program includes more than 5,000 models of aggregate crushing, screening and washing equipment. BedRock is constantly adding to the data library and will add equipment upon request. Example 1: Typical sand and gravel plant displaying primary screening, crushing and wash/water circuit. AggFlow tracks and calculates both aggregate and water mass balances in the operation including make-up water required to keep it in balance. Unlimited “What-If” scenarios can be tested with reliable accuracy before changes to the plant are actually made.
Example 2: Typical example of a track-mounted machine set-up with crushing and screening machines in sequence. AggFlow accounts for all machines and material flows in the operation as indicated.
Example 3: Demonstration of how AggFlow calculations track material with regard to a product specification. AggFlow users can employ this feature to make adjustments to plant operations that achieve highest efficiency/lowest cost while ensuring the product is maintained within the required specification band.
Example 4: Demonstration of comparison between AggFlow calculated data and actual field results. This is achieved by entering actual field data into the simulation then comparing the calculated to the actual result. In this example the actual result is exceeding manufacturer recommended gradations. Significant variation from calculated results is cause for investigation.
