Apr, 05 2012
(California) -- The Napa Rinker Materials-Concrete Pipe Division CEMEX plant has won a safety award from the American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA).
The 2011 ACPA Safety Awards recognize plants that have exhibited an “exemplary safety performance during the program year” in five categories, according to a news release.
“Every executive and plant manager in the concrete pipe industry understands the importance of keeping their workers safe on the job,” said Matt Childs, ACPA president.
“These award-winning companies, and the talented professionals that work in these plants, are simply the cream of the crop. We are very proud of their outstanding achievements and we hold them up as examples for others to emulate.”
The plant is at 385 Tower Road in Napa.
Last month, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a report detailing its findings in regard to whether or not it should support the beneficial use of coal flyash in concrete and flue gas desulfurization (FGD) gypsum in wallboard. More
