Titan America expands service in Virginia with a Fairfax County Ready-Mix Facility

Jun, 07 2012

(Virginia)  --  Titan America officials have confirmed that their rezoning and special exception application for a ready-mix concrete facility has been reviewed and accepted for processing by Fairfax County. The plant site is located to the southwest of Washington, D.C., in an industrial park at the former Southern Iron Works site, and is well positioned to service the northern reaches of Fairfax County.

"We're excited about the potential for this new facility for a number of reasons," stated Earl Losier, Vice President of Titan's Mid-Atlantic Concrete Products & Aggregates Division. "It will enable us to expand our area of service to existing customers in a critical market area, as well as bring a positive impact to the surrounding community as it revitalizes an existing industrial site."

Titan anticipates a review hearing to be scheduled by early this fall, with the potential of being operational early in 2013.

Titan America LLC is the premier heavy building materials producer in the eastern United States. Titan America's products include cement, aggregates, ready-mixed concrete and fly ash beneficiation.
