Iranian Cement exported to Somalia

(Iran/Somalia) -- Khash Cement Company, Tehran based producer of cement, has announced that it has exported a huge consignment of cement of 22,000 tons to Somalia.
The Managing Director of the company, Ali Asghar Garshasbi, noted that the exports promise wider markets in Africa and other neighboring states for Iranian cement.
Iran exported more than dlrs 637 million worth cement in the last Iranian year to Iraq, the Persian Gulf littoral states, the Central Asian countries and Afghanistan. Iraq was a major importer of Iranian cement, importing more than 1.5 million tons of cement worth dlrs 456 million.
Iran currently produces some 65 million tons cement a year.
