(Illinois)  --  The “Safety Begins With Me” program is paying off at Prairie Material!

Prairie Material was recognized by the Illinois Association for Aggregate Producers for outstanding safety performance at multiple locations in the Midwest.  The awards were presented at IAAP's annual convention in Springfield on May 15th.

The IAAP Safety Committee's Rock Solid Safety Award program recognizes members that set and adhere to high standards in the area of health and safety.  As they implement successful health and safety programs, they encourage other operators and service providers to use recognized systems and methods to prevent injuries and illnesses.

Gold Awards were presented to four locations:  Bloomfield IN, Marengo IL, Shelbyville IN and Dixon IL.  Five additional locations - Paxton IL, Waverly IN, Pontiac IL, Manteno IL and Ashkum IL received the Silver Awards.

The IAAP awards recognize our employees for their commitment to Safety.  We are extremely honored to have received these awards, and this is a direct result of the dedication, hard work and day-to-day safety focus of all our Aggregate employees.

Prairie Material has been a leader in the Aggregate and Ready Mix Concrete industry in the Midwest since 1948.  Building and continually strengthening the safety culture at Prairie is our objective, and we will not be satisfied until we totally eliminate accidents from the workplace.
