Worker killed at Larfarge plant identified

Jul, 16 2012

(Vancouver, Canada)  --  The men who were killed in two separate industrial accidents this week have been identified as Hardial Singh, 40, and David William Leon, 48, both of Surrey.

Singh died Tuesday when he was crushed by a load of gravel that emptied from a truck. He was working at the Lafarge ready-mix cement site on Kent Street in south Vancouver.

Leon was killed just a day later in an unrelated incident. He was struck by a construction vehicle while working on construction on the South Fraser Perimeter Road in Delta.

WorkSafeBC and the B.C. Coroners Service continue to investigate both deaths.
