Route 12 reopened to traffic after concrete truck accident
Jul, 31 2012
(Talcott, West Virgina) -- A road through Summers County was closed for four hours on Monday, July 30 after a cement mixing truck rolled on its side.
The accident happened just after 8 a.m. State Troopers said the driver slipped into a ditch on Route 12 between Talcott and Lowell. Apparently his efforts to get out the ditch caused the truck to roll on its side. It took several hours to clear the road, which was reopened just after noon.
The driver was taken to an area hospital. Troopers said no charges were likely to be filed in the incident.
