Aug, 09 2012

(Berhampur, India)  --  An illegal cement godown has been found near Berhampur railway station in Odisha's Ganjam district, official sources said today.

The godown had stocked several brands of cement bags as well as empty gunny bags.

"The godown owner used to sell low-grade cement using various brand names," Sub-collector Berhampur Ajit Mishra said, adding that no one has claimed ownership of the godown.

The raid was conducted yesterday jointly by the commercial tax, vigilance and police officers.
