Lafarge signs a 3 year agreement with CEARS to export Clinker

(Africa) -- Lafarge Cement Company has signed a 3years agreement with Central African Railway System (CEARS) to export Clinker from Zambia to Malawi.
The contract is worth 28million Malawian kwacha.
Clinker is a raw material used in the production of cement.
CEARS Company civil Engineer Paul Madula said that his company will be transporting 5600 tones of clinker through the railway line from Chipata to Blantyre for an initial period of three years after which the contract can be extended.
