The Process Manager is responsible for:

 

Being accountable for promoting ”safety first” attitude among employees   

 

Participating in the development of periodic forecasts of manufacturing efficiencies, costs and profits (budgets, weekly and daily production runs)

 

Reviewing plant operating performances to ensure adherence to corporation technical plans, quality standards, optimum production practices

 

Developing product and manufacturing improvement proposals, presenting cost justifications for these and other capital improvements to the Plant Manager

 

Insuring compliance with Lafarge Corporation Manufacturing Doctrines as well as 3-Year Technical, Plant Action, Automation, and Capital Budget Plans

 

Developing organizational improvements and technical understanding

 

Developing and implementing optimization plans and proposals in conjunction with Production, Quality, Quarry, Environment and Maintenance.

 

Developing and implementing optimization plans and proposals regarding automation

 

The Process Manager is the natural link between CTS and the plant, he/she promotes new ideas and assumes the overall leadership of progress in process.  Specific accountabilities include:

 

Maintains plant technical improvement/optimization plans and plant    control strategies

 

Accountable for process optimization pertaining to company guidelines and polices

 

Promote teamwork and a positive outlook within the organization by developing cohesiveness between departments

 

Supervise the efforts of the Process and Systems departments.

 

Development of recommendations and implementation of process upgrades related to the environmental outcomes.

 

 

Education:

 

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required. Chemical or Mechanical is preferred.

 

Experience:

 

A minimum of ten years in the cement industry is required. Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, chemistry, physics and mathematics is required. Must have strong analytical skills and solid communication skills.
