Summary:
Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for plant safety leadership, environmental compliance, plant appearance, plant servicing and maintenance, taking customer orders, scheduling deliveries, accurately batching quality concrete, performing or assisting in the performance of testing and quality control, managing raw material inventory and supervising Mixer Drivers.
Specific Accountabilities:
Leading the safety culture by example, promoting a team environment, facilitating safety meetings, ensuring compliance of company policies and standard operating procedures, providing excellent customer service (both internal and external), working knowledge of Command Batch, Kronos payroll and E-One operating system, COD pricing and collection, raw material inventory management including stockpile and silo measurements, supervising mixer drivers and yard personnel. Will be responsible for the safe operation of a front end loader as well as the daily, weekly and monthly tasks associated with maintaining the batch plant.

Interaction with Sales team to ensure excellent customer service.
Interaction with Value Added Product Specialists to maximize impact of branding strategy.
Interaction with Quality team to ensure proper testing, probe calibration and material specifications are met.
Interaction with Performance team to ensure proper set up of purchase orders and vendor relations.
Interaction with Central Maintenance to ensure proper plant function.
Qualifications:
Education
Minimum – High School Diploma or GED, Technical School or College Degree preferred.
Experience
Position requires strong communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a stressful, fast-paced environment. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires varied working hours. Must be able to walk yard for inspection, climb silos and lift 50 lbs. |
