Objective:
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Edmonton Pipe Operation including; dispatch, general assistance to Sales including EOne quote entry and editing; accounting and invoice reconciliation assistance and office support.
Structure:
Report to the Sales Manager of the Edmonton Pipe Operation. Work closely with the Dispatcher, Sales Manager, Sales and Engineering team, Sales Coordinator, Production team and Admin. Assistant.
Specific Accountabilities:

Process sales orders
-
Input and edit quotes in EOne
-
Run reports as required for General Manager and Sales Manager

Answer incoming calls

General office duties as required
-
Assist with inventory control
-
Dispatch assistance including: scheduling deliveries; coordinating loads; manual and EOne ticketing

Process bills-of-lading from previous days shipments
-
Enter previous days production, returned goods, culls & shipping into inventory management spreadsheet (Eone)

Liaise with Project Managers daily, in regards to product requirement for customers projects and assist in providing scheduled solutions based on customers needs

Manage and solve customer complaints and issues as it relates to shipping & inventory

Working with yard-staff (forklift operators) to organize yard in effective manner

Coordinate with other Lafarge Pipe operations to balance inventory, formwork and source product

Monitor stock of 3rd-party items (gaskets, aluminum steps)

Work with hired trucking companies to make sure logistic requirements are met. Deal with issues as they come up (wait time, drivers, tie-down methods)

Assist small-volume (misc) customers with pricing, taking and processing orders

Qualification Profile:
Education

High School diploma required
Experience

Proficiency with MS Office

Knowledge of concrete pipe and manhole products

Proficiency in EOne
-
Easily able to deal effectively with customer complaints in a professional manner

Excellent telephone manner

Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with other staff, truckers and customers

Able to work under pressure with fluid deadlines and changing circumstances

Self-starter, willing to do work outside job description as required

High level of time management and task prioritization skills
