Position Summary:
The Finance Analyst provides management reporting, financial analysis, and decision support. This position works to improve understanding of key business drivers and maximize results within the Asphalt & Paving Product Line. The Analyst works closely with, and in support of, the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities

Perform standard and ad hoc analyses for Product Line management

Provide analysis to support business decisions

Participate in the production of monthly reporting package -Dashboard, HFM Variance, QPR/QBR, Cost Trackers, Cost Price Delta’s

Detailed Month End Analysis

Inventory adjustments and analysis
-
Prepare capital, asset, lease, and inventory continuities
-
Monitor and ensure Product Line Month End reporting schedules and commitments are adhered to

Assist with the Budgeting and Forecasting process
-
Participation in operational Performance Efficiency Reviews (PERs)
-
Liaise with SSC to ensure collaborative achievement of Finance objectives
-
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments

Participate in review and enhancement to internal controls, accounting policies, and business processes

Effective linkage of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other financial performance analyses with financial reporting

Relationships with Others’ Jobs:

Frequent interaction with PL Director and Finance Managers

Interface with PL Director in monthly review/reporting process

Qualification Profile:
Education and Work Experience:
-
Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
-
Professional experience would be an asset, but is not required
-
Enrollment in a Professional accounting program (CMA, or CGA)
