Manage multiple teams consisting of development managers and developers supporting full lifecycle development. Facilitate and help lead strategy planning sessions within team, IT, and with business stakeholders. Integrate activities with business units and other IT departments to ensure the successful implementation and support for project efforts. Facilitate communication between project teams, including project status and technical information (architecture, design and implementation objectives). Work with the business units to identify areas of efficiencies that can be gained by better use of technology. Ensure changes adhere to existing architectural principles and do not violate requirements around security, scalability, performance, or maintainability. Participate in regular status meetings to track progress, communicate risks and escalate concerns in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 10+ years development experience; 5+ years team management experience
- Proven experience in building successful software development teams
- Experience with the architecture principles and design patterns of many applications including Web based applications, EDI, Integration, and Business Intelligence
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience in project management principles, application development lifecycles, and iterative methodologies such as Agile (i.e. SCRUM, XP, Test Driven Development, etc)
- Experience leading multidiscipline, high performance work teams / groups and an established track record of managing technical staff through the project development life-cycle phases, evaluation, recommendation and integration of applications, components and services from third-party vendors, consultants, and contractors
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with variety of stakeholders
- Experience developing applications using .NET and Java desired
- Prior exposure to JD Edwards or other major ERP system preferred
- Knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL Server database desired
- Experience with OLAP, MDBMS and enterprise performance management / business intelligence application technologies a plus
