Responsible for the management, direction, and oversight of the Martin Marietta West land management, environmental, water, and natural resources team. Ensure the implementation and ongoing improvement of environmental and land policies within the West Group � maintaining consistency with Martin Marietta policies as well as compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Identify and implement �Best Practices� to add value to the West Group. Align with operations as strategic partner.
Requirements
- Bachelor�s degree in Environmental, Civil/Mining Engineering, Planning/Zoning or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 10 years managing multiple production sites in a similar business environment
- Excellent supervisory and leadership capabilities with a focus on employee development
- Strong customer service, organization and verbal/written communication skills
- Proactively work with corporate environmental and land resources to provide continuity and value to the West Group operating Divisions
- Demonstrated history and ability to effectively manage consultants
- Proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook)
- Approximately 20% overnight travel
