Translate Gypsum business imperatives and strategies into an IT/IS investment plan.
Develop, track and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.
Coordinate and facilitate consultation with Gypsum stakeholders to define business and current/ new systems requirements. Work closely with application owners and management to establish priorities of demands.
Conduct major business process needs analyses to formulate, define and document system requirements.
Develop business case justifications and cost/ benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
Approve, prioritize and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of all information systems.
Review hardware and software acquisitions and local maintenance and leverage Americs’ Data and Service Center organizations to capitalize on economies of scale.
Define and communicate plans, policies and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing and operating IT systems.
Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance.
Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
Establish lines of control for current and proposed information systems.
Manages all Gypsum IT audit activities. Work closely with IT America’s and audit functions to ensure compliance with audit and IT standards within the division.
Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel and educate Gypsum Management team on their competitive and financial impact.
Build and maintain relationships between internal Gypsum IT resources, US Country IT, IS/ IT America’s Hub and the America’s Data Center.
Lead, manage and coach a team of IT personnel responsible for supporting, maintaining and continually improving the applications to meet business needs.
Establish goals, objectives and standard operating procedures.
Negotiate and manage Gypsum Specific Application Vendor Agreements and external consultants used for applications and related interfaces as required.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.

Produce a three year Gypsum IT/ IS roadmap with clear priorities to achieve business goals.
Ensure IT spending is in line with three year investment plan and annual budget.
Support the development of innovative and cost effective solutions that support Gypsum specific business needs.
Follow established prioritization of projects and enhancements.
Establish and demonstrate clear link between IT/IS investment and business strategy and ensure that all projects are in line with roadmap and IT investment plan.
Ensure hardware and software acquisitions and local maintenance purchasing agreements leverage Group purchasing power.
Develop IT/IS team through career management, performance management and individual development plans.
Schedule and Manage Gypsum Application Downtime and Maintenance and Communicate Enterprise Applications Downtime and Maintenance.
Provide Gypsum Application Disaster Recovery Sign Off and testing results.
Ensure application controls are compliant with Group internal control standards.
Internal control providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company resources
Ensure IT Controls and security are integrated into the delivery of new services as part of the project management and change management process.
Develop IT/IS team through career management, performance management and individual development plans.
Ensure development and maintenance of strong relationships with US IT and America’s Data and Applications Service Centers.
Ensure Gypsum specific needs are addressed through appropriate vendor agreements.
Enhance the safety culture of Lafarge by adhering to safety policies, taking ownership for ensuring a safe workplace and demonstrating support to organizational safety initiatives.
