Requirements:
  • BS Degree (mining) or equivalent experience required
  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in the aggregate management field or related area.
  • Must have progressive experience managing all aspects of heavy mobile and aggregate processing equipment management
  • Previous experience managing aggregate operations in different geographic areas
  • Proven record improving aggregate operational performance
  • Previous experience managing large capital improvement

Aggregate Performance Improvement Engineer
Overview:
Large company seeks an Industrial Engineer to work in conjunction with their team and be responsible for the aggregate facilities with regards to production, maintenance, equipment utilization, design, market analysis & financial performance. The right candidate will be expected to make recommendations for improvements & develop actionable plans for the local team to develop and execute.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and assess short and long-term strategic planning and decision-making with respect to all aspects of aggregates production
  • Implement the Company’s vision and mission statements throughout the subsidiaries
  • Maintain proper communication with the Aggregate Team leader
  • Ensure sustainability and development of aggregate reserves
  • Establish and monitor actions in order to improve production costs and efficiencies within the local zones
  • Lead and participate in developing improvement plans and strategies with local subsidiaries as required
  • Help develop marketing and sales strategies for local zones
  • Perform site visits and audits of subsidiary level performance
  • Develop and maintain computerized files relative to all areas of responsibility
  • Facilitate capital planning process to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Champion the Company’s quarry program by mentoring and supporting operational management
  • Look for opportunities to share and optimize asset utilization
  • Evaluate site financial performance based on key performance metrics
  • Share and encourage implementation of aggregate best practices within and between subsidiaries
  • Provide tool and processes to local zones for improving performance in order to achieve financial benchmarks
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement within the aggregate product line
  • Perform other duties as assigned
