Ready Mix Producer located in Michigan seeks an experienced Lead Mechanic / Shop Foreman for 50+ Ready Mix Trucks. This position will be “hands-on” overseeing the preventative maintenance and repair of all Ready Mix Trucks & Heavy Mobile Equipment.

Salary: $80k - $110k

• Work with production, EHS and geology managers to plan mining, clearing and grubbing, waste removal, ore sand production and reclamation operations 12 months in advance
• Communicate short to mid- range mine plans, schedules and strategy to mine crew on daily activities
• Production tracking and budgeting
• Monitor activities within the mine to ensure production efficiency (continuous improvement)
• Ensure quality and quantity of material
• Safety observations and equipment task training
• Operate GPS to perform required survey.
• Flying drone operation for end-of-month survey
• Work closely with plant supervisors and managers to ensure plant’s production
• Safely operate front end loaders, excavators, haul trucks, skid steer, backhoe, forklift, telehandler, or bulldozers (desired not required)
• Perform appropriate pre-shift equipment examinations
• Grease and fuel equipment when needed
