The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has announced the winners of its Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Composites Student Competition held at the Concrete Convention and Exposition in Cincinnati, Ohio.

ACI says the students set out to design, construct, and test a concrete structure reinforced with FRP to achieve the optimal load-to-cost ratio, predict the ultimate load, and predict the load that will result in a piston deflection of 3.5 mm (0.14 in.).
