In France, Cemex supplied over 7,800 cubic metres of concrete for the construction of the high L’Arbre Blanc (The White Tree). The 50-metre high tree shaped building is expected to be complete in 2019.
For the project, Cemex also delivered special mixes of hyper-fluid, high strength concrete and a fast-drying concrete.
L’Arbre Blanc is a 17-story residential building which features seven-metre cantilevered metal work and 194 balcony spaces.
The building was designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, who has also designed the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in London.
