Cemex supplies concrete for Chase Center in California

September 23, 2019

Cemex says it has supplied more than 170,000 cubic yards of concrete for the construction of Chase Center and surrounding structures in San Francisco, California.

The entertainment and retail complex is the new home for the six-time NBA Champion Golden State Warriors.

As part of the deal, Cemex provided general contractor Mortensen | Clark with 114,000 cubic yards of concrete for the arena and an additional 60,000 cubic yards for the foundation, underground support and a nearby office building. The privately-financed Chase Center is expected to host nearly 200 events per year.

In addition to the Chase Center, Cemex has helped develop San Francisco's skyline. The company has supplied concrete for the 1,070-foot Salesforce Tower, which opened in 2018, and for the four-building complex Lumina, which opened in 2016.
