(Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) — The multinational CEMEX Tuesday night unveiled the initiative Construrama, aimed at bolstering its distribution channels and stay close to its customers, supporting them with an array of services and benefits so they can be increasingly competitive.
Construrama is an novel program designed to revolutionize the hardware and construction materials market, as has occurred in other of the region’s countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Colombia.
CEMEX country president Carlos Emilio Gonzalez headed Construrama’s launch, calling the initiative CEMEX’s transformation, offering a range of solutions for its various customer segments.
“In this case, we seek to support and collaborate actively in securing better business performance of our hardware clients, who are our main distribution channel. We work hand in hand with them to strengthen their business and thus ensure long heritage in their hard to build,” the executive said.
CEMEX Commercial director Imanol Orue thanked the affiliated hardware stores and detailed the program’s benefits and advantages in the Dominican Republic.
More than 30 business currently form part of CEMEX’s network, which enjoy benefits such as standardization and maintenance of their storefront, attractive internal image through expert advice on the layout of the sales point, adequate lighting, cleanliness, order, placement and marking of sale items, in addition to uniformed personnel, and the use of widespread advertising.
Construrama also includes brand promotions, shared access to specialized training for owners to employees in family business management, finance, billing, inventory management and customer service, as well as achieving savings in insurance contracts among other economic benefits.
