Two CEMEX USA operations earned Environmental Excellence Gold Award and 24 facilities recognised for environmental safety excellence, at NSSGA’s annual awards ceremony 2017.
The FEC Quarry in Miami, Florida and Center Hill Mine, Florida both received NSSGA’s Environmental Excellence Gold Award with Center Hill Mine receiving recognition with its Stars of Excellence for earning Gold Awards multiple time in five years. Meanwhile, 474 Sand Mine in Clemont Florida and SCL Quarry in Miami both received Environmental Excellence Silver Award. Nine other CEMEX facilities won bronze.

Gold – FEC Quarry, Center Hill Mine.
Silver – 474 Sand Mine, SCL Quarry.
Bronze – Lake Wales, Davenport, Deerfield, Gator, Union & Palmdale Sand Mines, St. Catherine Mine, Krome Quarry and Brooksville Quarry.
Eleven CEMEX USA locations also were recognized by the NSSGA, achieving the 2017 NSSGA Safety Excellence Award, for their ongoing commitment to safety.
