Cemex Ventures invests in Linkx software to optimise deliveries

April 17, 2019

Cemex Ventures has invested in Linkx, a company whose software solution allows control of deliveries and vehicles in real-time.

Cemex Ventures says the solution allows for data-based decision-making and facilitates communication and information among the shipper, carrier and receiver.

According to Cemex Ventures, Linkx allows shippers or freight generators to plan deliveries and assign operations to their own carries or third parties. Also, the solution digitises delivery vouchers to enable visibility of shipment status and vehicles' location in real-time. Users will also have to analytical reports that offer data-based conclusions about the logistic operation.

Linkx allows drivers to schedule their performed services and functions as a co-pilot that optimises their routes as well as collect signatures that offer graphic evidence for proof of digital delivery, the company adds.

Gonzalo Galindo, CEO of Cemex Ventures, says: "This investment is a clear example of our offer. Linkx came to us at a very early stage, and together, we worked on continuous improvements by reinforcing their minimum viable product and offering continuous feedback on our knowledge of industry and technology. After numerous optimisations, we have piloted this solution with several Cemex clients to achieve a very robust solution for the supply chain management challenge.”
