(Virginia) — Rockbridge business owner Charles W. Barger, III (Chuck) has been elected president of the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA) for 2008-2009 according to an announcement from the VTCA on August 15.
Barger, a native of Lexington, Virginia, is President of Charles W. Barger & Son in Lexington Virginia. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1974 with a degree in Economics and received his MBA from Duke University in 1986.
Gerald W. Hargis (Gerry) will serve as Vice President of VTCA. He is the Area Manager for Virginia with R. R. Dawson Bridge Co. LLC. Born in Elliottville, Kentucky, Gerry graduated from Morehead State University in 1972 with a degree in Business Management.
Richard S. Reese (Dick) will serve as Secretary-Treasurer of VTCA. He is a Regional Sales Manager with Vulcan Construction Materials. Born in White Plains, New York, Dick graduated from Duke University in 1974 with a degree in Economics.
With 330 members, VTCA represents the state’s transportation construction and aggregates industries.
