Continental has launched a compound for its RDT-Master tyre to provide rigid dump trucks with better protection from gravel, rocks and stones.
The company says the RDT-Master cut-resistant (CR) contains a polymer meshing system based on synthetic rubber and selected compounds.
It also offers protection and wear resistance while maintaining good levels of heat dissipation, Continental adds.
According to Continental, the RDT-Master CR with cut-resistant compound comes with high carcass protection against cuts and damages by foreign objects and an open shoulder design for good self-cleaning abilities and enhanced traction.
