Dolese opens new quarry in Roosevelt

Oklahoma City-based Dolese Bros has opened its 77th quarry. “This new plant will not only help incite economic growth in Roosevelt, but will also make aggregate building material more available in the surrounding areas,” Mark Helm, president, Dolese said.

The new quarry located near Roosevelt was opened in August 2014 after several public community meetings were held in which Dolese representatives met with community members and Roosevelt Mayor Nolan McCall.

“It’s been estimated that over a dozen new jobs will be created here in Roosevelt,” McCall said. “Our community will benefit from that growth.”

The 1,003-acre Roosevelt quarry is located  along the rail line so able to transport material across the state and into Kansas. Opening this quarry will also make aggregate material more accessible for this region of the state.

“We have invested in this community and look forward to being a part of their future,” Helm said. “It is not only important for us to be a part of Roosevelt as they move forward, but to be good neighbors along the way.”
