Drilling rig runs over quarry worker near Benton City, Washington

A 32-year-old worker at a rock quarry south of Benton City, Washington, was flown to a hospital after he was run over in an industrial accident, says Tri-City Herald.

According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the man was working at the quarry at Webber Canyon and Country Wells Road.

The victim reportedly fell during drilling operations and the driver of the drilling rig did not see him and ran over his legs.

The victim was reported to be conscious and alert, according to initial reports.
