EvoQuip to launch Colt 1600 scalping screen in early 2020

December 2, 2019

EvoQuip is to launch a scalping screen in 2020 which it claims can process up to 600tph (661 US tph) depending on the application.

EvoQuip says the Colt 1600 scalper is designed to work in primary and secondary screening applications, incorporating an aggressive double deck screen of 4.8m x 1.53m (16’ x 5’). The variable screening angle and numerous screen media options enables the machine to operate in both heavy duty scalping and precision screening applications, the company adds.

The machine comes with three interchangeable screenbox options (Single Shaft, Triple Shaft and Spaleck), to operate in a range of applications.

Similar to the Colt 100, the standard configuration discharges the fines product to the right side of the plant, with the mid-grade on the left. Both conveyors can be ordered reversed, allowing users to place both machines on the same side of the unit once the Colt 1600 reaches the field.

According to Terex, flexibility is improved with two-way split conversion by relocating the tail conveyor to collect both top and bottom deck pieces. The conveyor discharge heights can be improved with the optional telescopic conveyors.

Colt 1600 comes with the T-Link telemetry system and the OMNI Terex cab-led machine control system.

Terex revealed details of Colt 1600 at its 'Experience Days' event in Northern Ireland.
