Gallup Sand and Gravel being sold

(New Mexico) — Frank Kozeliski, President of Gallup Sand and Gravel, Co. of Gallup, New Mexico announced today that the family owned business has entered into an agreement to sell the company to Sky Ute Sand and Gravel, LLC of Ignacio, Colorado. Kozeliski said that he and his brother George, the last two remaining stockholders in the family owned corporation, agreed to the sale in late August.Gallup Sand and Gravel was started in the early 1940’s by George Bubany and was formally incorporated on November 1, 1945. Tony Kozeliski, the father of the present owners was hired by George Bubany to run the company and was made a part owner in the company. For the past 62 years the company has provided redi-mix concrete, as well as sand and gravel construction materials to the majority of construction projects in Gallup, McKinley County and the Navajo Nation.The sale is scheduled to be completed in November. Frank Kozeliski will stay on with the new company as a consultant.
