January 24, 2020

Granite has been awarded a $14 million contract by the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) to carry out the Archibald Avenue Improvement Project in Southern California.

The project at State Route 60 (SR-60) is expected to improve access to the Ontario International Airport, located approximately 40 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.

Granite is to reconstruct and widen Archibald Avenue between East Oak Hill Drive and Monticello Place at the SR-60 Interchange. The scope of the work includes the construction of right-turn pockets and left-turn pockets onto ramps, widening of the ramps to accommodate additional lanes, and enhancements to sidewalk, crosswalk, and curb ramp.

Construction is estimated to be complete by the end of 2020.
