Granite wins $39 million dam contract in Lewisville, Texas

Granite has been chosen by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to modify the Lewisville Dam in Texas part of a $39 million contract.

The project is part of USACE's programme to continue safe and effective functionality of the dam's authorised capacity.

The scope of the work includes the construction of upstream embankment modifications, crest road improvements, conduit filter, waterline relocations, seepage collection systems, improved roadway system and associated work.

Construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2019 and be complete in spring 2021.
