Komatsu America plans to move North America HQ to Chicago

Komatsu America (KA) intends to move its company headquarters to Chicago in 2020. The move, according to the Rod Schrader, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer, will help KA remain competitive and attractive to prospective employees living in the city and studying at nearby universities.

Schrader said new site at Triangle Plaza, 8770 W Bryn Mawr Avenue will benefit everyone.

“Current employees will enjoy the building amenities and convenience to major transportation, the new floorplan supports the company’s efforts to breakdown team and workstream silos.”

The office’s open floor plan is designed with the intention of enabling more collaboration and cross-functional team communication while the design aims to reinforce the company’s focus on cross-discipline collaboration.

Onsite amenities will feature covered parking, two nearby health clubs, a hotel and access to major highways, public transportation and O’Hare airport.
