February 20, 2018

Komatsu has launched a new hydraulic excavator which combines a heavy counterweight mass and rounded cab for tight tail swing performance and increased lift capacity. The machine is said to increase productivity by up to 4% and is suited for utility and highway applications working in confined spaces.

Called PC238USLC-11, the excavator features six working modes (P, E, L, B, Att-P, Att-E) with energy-saving guidance integrated into the monitor panel along with an auto idle engine shut down functionality to help reduce nonproductive time and operating costs. In addition, the Komtrax and monitor panel deliver machine data for easy monitoring and quick operator action.

KomVision, a birds-eye view system that combines input from three cameras into a surrounded-view image of machines and their surroundings, is also available.

The cab design has an upgraded high-resolution LCD colour monitor panel which incorporates the standard rearview camera display gauges. A selectable auxiliary hydraulic control option provides one way and two-way attachment flow in the monitor panel, with adjustable flow control.

PC238USLC-11 has also been designed to feature conveniently located maintenance locations at ground level locations. More information is available on the website.
