February 4, 2019

LafargeHolcim has acquired the assets of Transit Mix Concrete as part of a strategy to expand its business in Colorado.

The scope of the $27 million deal includes ownership of the Transit Mix ready-mix operations and the Daniels Sand Quarry. Transit Mix recorded adjusted revenues of $63 million in 2017 and has more than 180 employees.

René Thibault, region head North America and interim CEO for LafargeHolcim’s US aggregates & construction materials business, says: "For many years Colorado has been a dynamic and growing market, and Transit Mix Concrete has been a part of that growth. They are the largest construction materials producer in the Southern Front Range."

Founded in 1945, Transit Mix Concrete will continue to operate under its current name.
