LafargeHolcim increases stake in Indian companies

LafargeHolcim subsidiary Holderind Investments has increased its shareholding in Ambuja Cement to 63.11% of total Ambuja shares) and in ACC, a subsidiary of Ambuja to 4.48% percent of total ACC shares.

India is one of LafargeHolcim’s key markets with “long term fundamentals and a clear potential for further improvement in business performance”, the company says.

“These share purchases further increase the group’s interest in its two strong companies which constitute a solid platform from which to capture future growth,” LafargeHolcim said in a stataement.??LafargeHolcim is one of India’s largest building materials companies with a 60 million tonne capacity.
