LafargeHolcim’s UK company to supply pavement solutions to Highways England

LafargeHolcim’s UK company Aggregate Industries will deliver asphalt and cement bound works to Highway’s England in a bid to modernise and upgrade the highways infrastructure under the Regional Investment Programme. The four-year contract is valued at £500m ($660m).

Highways England operates, maintains and improves roads in the UK. The company awarded Aggregate Industries five of the six Major Regional Lots, under the new Category Management Framework.

Marcel Cobuz, regional head Europe and member of the group executive committee, says: Our ongoing investment in key production and manufacturing assets around the UK, along with investments in the latest digital technologies and our people, will enable us to continue to deliver the most sustainable and high-quality pavement solutions.”
