Lindsey Aggregates unveils wet processing plant at open day

June 12, 2019

Lindsey Aggregates showcased its integrated sand washing system, designed by EPC company CDE, at a two day open event in New York.

Lindsey chose CDE to install a system that would expand outputs to include C33 spec and mason sand as well as multiple washed aggregates.

According to Lindsey, the CDE washing plant allows for highly efficient sand recovery, customised integration with the existing crushing plant and an expanded portfolio of quality sand and aggregates produced simultaneously.

Warren Vandish, owner of Lindsey says: “Our number one aim is to maximize our current operations, and sand washing will enable us to do this.”

The +500tph plant includes CDE’s R2500 scalping system, M4500 and M2500 modular sand & aggregate washing systems. It is designed to integrate with the producer’s current on site operation, the company adds.

Vandish explains that CDE’s team “have been on hand throughout the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning process and the regional support team continue to support us with optimising our operations post commissioning”.

Eoin Heron, business development director North America for CDE says: “Our sustainable technology, producing washed and graded manufactured sand, is helping supplement natural sand which is a finite resource and increasing in cost. By utilising normally low-value crusher fines for sand production we can extend the life of natural resources and add huge commercial value to our customers’ enterprises.”
