Madison teenager killed in concrete mixer truck crash

A Madison teenager was killed after a two-vehicle crash in Thompson Township on Tuesday morning.

(Ohio)  —   Amanda Kamposek, 16, of Madison, was driving a dark-colored 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. Her car was struck by with a red 1999 Mack concrete mixer truck, after she failed to yield from the stop sign at Route 528, near the border of Lake and Geauga counties.

The Geauga County Coroner’s Office pronounced Kamposek dead at the scene.

The concrete truck was driven by Brian E. Shank, 61, of Painesville. He was transported to the Lake Health Madison Emergency Department by the Thompson Fire Department with injuries not considered life threatening.

The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office, Thompson Fire Department and Highway Patrol all responded to the scene.

The Highway Patrol is handling the ongoing investigation.
