Martin Marietta asphalt plant gets new air quality permit

An asphalt plant operated by Martin Marietta Materials a near the Poudre River, Fort Collins, Colarado has a permit to continue operating in Fort Collins, despite complaints from neighbors.

The plant can produce up to 475,000 tons of asphalt annually, according to the permit. 

Fort Collins had contracts to spend $5.7 million with the plant in 2014. In 2013, the city bought roughly half of all materials produced at the facility, according to city documents.
