MDU Resources has acquired the operations of ready-mix concrete company Molalla Redi-Mix and Rock Products which is now a part of the firm’s subsidiary Knife River. The transaction is intended to expand Knife River’s reach into Portland and Salem.
MDU expects the acquisition will be accretive to 2018 earnings per share.
David Barney, Knife River president and CEO, says: “Molalla Redi-Mix is a good addition to our Oregon operations, and gives us more flexibility to serve customers southeast of Portland.”
