Mechanic killed after service truck hits beam and flips over, says MSHA

The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) has announced a mechanic has died after his service truck hit a beam and flipped on its side.

The miner was ejected from the truck and died at the scene, the administration adds.

Best Practices:

  • Always wear seat belts when operating mobile equipment.
  • Maintain control and stay alert when operating mobile equipment.
  • Conduct adequate pre-operational checks and correct any safety defects before operating mobile equipment.
