Metso is moving its pumps business area under the minerals segment to better support its customer interface and growth plans. This business area will be headed by Mikko Keto who serves as president of minerals services.
Pumps were previously reported under the flow control segment together with valves. The company will continue to report externally under minerals and flow control and will run its operations through several business areas grouped under these two areas.
The company says most pump customers are common to the minerals segment, and sales mainly operate through the minerals market area structure.
Metso will provide comparable information for 2018 based on the new segment structure before the end of the first quarter of 2019.
