October 22, 2018

A miner working for the National Lime & Stone Co in Carey, Ohio, was hit by a train at the quarry and lost both his legs above the knee.

In a report by The Courier, his wife, Tab Adkins, said on Facebook he will have several major surgeries in the coming days, weeks and months.

She has created a FaceBook Fundraiser, 'Steve’s Road to Recovery,' on her Facebook page.

A GoFundMe account also has been set up by a relative, called 'Help Support Steve Adkins,' which had raised $2,400 as of Monday night to help the family, the report adds.
