The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) has announced that Michael Philipps will replace Robert Garbini as its president, effective 8 March.

William Childs, chairman of the presidential search committee, says Phillipps was chosen for his ability to  lead and train people, his ability to work with existing and new members, an exhibited track record of success and knowledge of NRMCA’s membership.

Philipps as more than 30 years of experience in the concrete products and construction industry, most recently as vice president of business development, construction materials, for Sandler Training. Rodney Grogan, NRMCA chairman of the Board says: “I believe the NRMCA board has selected an individual who, with his experience and relationships in the industry, will help provide the needed leadership for the success of our association, our members and the industry into the future.”
