NSSGA and NISA establish industrial sand division

December 19, 2018

The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) has formed an industrial sand division in a bid to bring new members into the association from January 2019.

The division was realised through a partnership with the National Industrial Sand Association (NISA). Members of NISA will form the nucleus of NSSGA's industrial sand division.

Randy Lake, NSSGA chairman, says: “Formalising this partnership will only strengthen our collective position and increase our effectiveness to make real improvements on policies where America relies on aggregates and industrial sand.”

The new division will have its own board of directors, and its chairman and vice chairman will serve on NSSGA’s executive committee. Both members will become involved in the association’s meetings and events and advocacy efforts.

Dan Gerber, NISA chair, says: “It just makes sense for our members to join with NSSGA to provide our perspective and resources toward the issues we share as an industry.”

NISA has represented North American industrial sand companies since 1936.
