The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) has uploaded a podcast that highlights ways to have successful meetings with elected officials.
Mike Gula, of Gula and Graham and Michele Stanley and NSSGA vice president of government and regulatory affairs, offered tips that can be used during NSSGA’s upcoming Legislatve & Policy Forum – where the aggregates industry meets with members of Congress.
“You are the expert. They find your time valuable to their day,” said Mike Gula, of D.C. firm Gula and Graham. “But if you don’t ask for help or tell them exactly why you’re there, they don’t know how to help you.”
