Safety at Aggregate Industries’ Maryland operations has been recognized by the Maryland Transportation Builders and Materials Association.
Eleven employees received awards at the Maryland Transportation Builders and Materials Association, Safety Awards Banquet in Glen Burnie.
Six employees from from Aggregate Industries mid-Atlantic received the Aggregates Safety Award, and five from Aggregate Industries mid-Atlantic Contracting received the Contractor Safety Award.
“AIUS [Aggregate Industries US], in our mid-Atlantic region, has participated in these safety awards since the first event four years ago, and we’ve received recognition for our continuous efforts at every banquet,” said Cedric Barthelemy, head of mid-Atlantic region for Aggregate Industries.
“We are proud of our employees who won this year, and as a team, we are committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety excellence on all of our sites.”
All the winners worked a minimum of 1,600 hours in a supervisory role during 2015 with no lost-time or reportable injuries at their locations. This year’s award recipients are:
