Schneider Electric recalls Square D safety switches

The Mine Safety and Health Administration has confirmed Schneider Electric is recalling its Square D safety switches. The power can remain on when the switch handle is in the off position and poses an electrical shock or electrocution hazard.

This action is working jointly with an alert from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The group works to protect the public from unreasonable risks of injury or death associated with the use of thousands of types of consumer products.
